GP Supercars is founded by entrepreneur und car enthusiast Franco Pizzuto in 2008.
After having built up successfully the FAE Group for 20 years - a world producer for
forest and agricultural shredders and milling cutters - he sold parts of the company
to start a new business.
Impressed by the design and automobiles of Henrik Fisker - who has developed
the terrific design styles of Aston Martin DB9, V8 Vantage and BMW Z8 - and his
ideas about the first green sports luxury car, Pizzuto was one of the driving forces and initial investors at Fisker Automotive to start this new car project in California.
